An IP Address is your unique "address" on the internet. You receive your IP address when you connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). You may also share your IP Address using a router with other computers on a network. When you share an IP Address, your router assigns you a Local IP Address, which might look like 192.168.0.100 (example). All the computers on the Local Network (LAN) then use the IP Address assigned from your ISP to connect to the internet.
