Change Your Windows 7 Clock to 24 Hour Format
July 10, 2015

It is easier than you'd think to change your start bar clock to a 24 hour time format versus the standard 12 hour format on Windows 7. These instructions also work in reverse if you are trying to get back to displaying a 12 hour clock after accidentally switching formats. Here we go:

For Windows 7 users:

  1. Click the Start button

  2. Select "Region and Language" if using icon view.
*If using category view, select "Clock, Language, and Region" and then select "Region and Language"

  3. Select the drop-down menu for "Long time"

  4. Choose "HH:mm:ss" for a 24 hour clock display, or choose "h:mm:ss tt" for a 12 hour view with am/pm.

  5. Click "OK" to save and exit.

How'd this work for you? What time format do you prefer? Tell us below.
