Futuristic Screenless Displays Are Coming
December 26, 2013 Projecting screen images into thin air has long been a common theme in the futuristic worlds of movies and television. But this technology may be coming to reality sooner rather than later. A company and product called Displair which has yet to hit the market will soon fill this sci-fi fantasy one could only dream about. Displair is breaking new ground with their screenless display concept. According to the company's website, the technology uses an “aerodynamic layer of dry fog which is composed of ultra-fine water droplets.” Users will be able to interact with the display with multi-touch capabilities through infrared sensors and camera registration. Making for one truly unique interactive experience. While we continue to fantasize about all the neat ways this technology could be used, check it out for yourself at www.displair.com. Comments |
